BLOG
Blog était une initiative d'artiste inspirée par l'utilisation des blogs en ligne comme forme d'expression créative, et impliquait le partage d'œuvres d'art, de médias numériques et de travaux textuels d'artistes. Il y a aussi des peices de l'art inclus sur First Peoples' Map of B.C. profile d'artiste. Blog a été financé par le Conseil culturel des Premiers Peuples (First Peoples' Cultural Council) et faisait partie d'un projet plus vaste financé par les Initiatives numériques du Conseil des arts du Canada, et comprenait des vitrines d'artistes tout au long de février 2022. Nous remercions tous les artistes qui contribué au contenu de Blog, ainsi que le soutien des communautés des Premiers Peuples de la Colombie-Britannique et du Québec, y compris les Songhees, Scia’new, T’Sou-ke, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Lil̓wat7ul, Heiltsuk, Kanien’keha:k et Métis, et aussi de nombreux d'autres peuples autochtones dont l'accueil et le partage des connaissances au cours de ce projet a rendu cela significatif.
Je crois que chaque forme d'art est une expression de soi, que cela soit intentionnel ou non. J'ai toujours au moins quatre types de cahiers d'equisse différents, mais je me concentre toujours sur un à la fois. Je l'utilise pour exprimer mon individualisme et transmettre des émotions que je trouve trop abstraites ou complexes pour les mots. [I believe every art form is an expression of self whether this is intended or not. I always have at least four different types of sketchbooks, but I always focus on one at a time. I use it as an outlet to express my individualism, and convey emotions that I find are too abstract or complex for words.] - E. Phillips
